Carenado Phenom 300; My Thoughts

The Carenado Phenom 300, it goes for about $30.99 CDN on the steam store, and about $27.99 CDN from Carenado themselves. The Phenom range of jets is from Embraer. The price of the jet itself ranges from 3.89M for it's younger brother; the Phenom 100. Whilst the Phenom 300 goes for anywhere between 7.8M and 8.9M. The Phenom 300 is one of the smartest small business jets in it's class. When the plane is properly loaded with fuel and passengers, it can deliver 7 passengers 1,970 nautical miles. The real kicker with the Phenom line, is that you can fly up to 41,000ft! The aircraft can take-off in around 1000m and land in just over 600m. The aircraft can cruise comfortably at 280 knots (indicated) (I have had it up to 320 knots which was no issue).

The specifications of the variables that played a part in how the aircraft looks in these snapshots.

- Flight Simulator X: Steam Edition

- Steam basic screenshotter

- Flight Simulator X Active Sky Next (if you have FSX I HIGHLY recommend getting this add-on it makes the weather look SO amazing. Look for an article on that particular add-on)

- PC Specifications

--AMD Ryzen 5 - 2600 over-clocked 200MHZ over.

--AMD Radeon RX570 Armour MK2

--16 GB RAM DDR4-3200MHZ

--550W Gold Power Supply.

--Windows 10

The Carenado Phenom 300 has less door animations then the Carenado Phenom 100, with the only one on the 300, is the main passenger door. This aircraft has spoilers which the 100 doesn't have. Basically there isn't too much new on this Phenom 300 that isn't on the Phenom 100. With de-icing all around, on every leading edge. The aircraft stalls quite nicely at 85 knots.

The interiors of all Carenado aircraft are SOOOO great. Just the utter detail on everything in here. I didn't get a shot of the window shades, but they do go up and down. The sound moves as you move the camera angle which is extremely nice. Its great to just place the aircraft on autopilot and get to this view and relax. The aircraft handles turbulence EXCEPTIONALLY well.

Flying this aircraft feels amazing. The flight model is INSANELY good! The physics of everything work perfectly. You can see the turn spoilers on the right side there in this steeper bank back towards the airport. The checklists that come with the aircraft on download are super comprehensive and clear. (There is also a digital checklist in the avionics suite in the Phenom)

With the airbrakes, spoilers, and big wings make it so this aircraft can fly slow and land smooth! This aircraft makes it hard to have a bad landing. As we can see in the shot above I was not gaining altitude, but descending ever so slightly. The only downside is the aircraft doesn't have reversers. Which is fine because the brakes work extremely well.

Anyways those are my thoughts on the Carenado Phenom 300. If you have any questions comment on this and I will get back to you.
